Crafted thousands of years ago by Mother Nature herself, these rare petrified wood pieces are a testament to the wonders and idiosyncrasies of nature. Created through an organic process of heat and pressure, the dazzling array of colors and textures comes from the differences in woods and elements that are infused while the petrifying process is in effect. This ensures that each piece will be truly unique in almost every way. Stack together for a distinct and organic tabletop or shelf accent.
An exceptional work of luxury and class, the Speck tray is crafted using an ancient Japanese process called eggshell inlay. The bottom of the wood tray is lined with eggshells and covered with a layer of black finish. Then, it’s sanded down to reveal portions of both the eggshells and the black to give it textural depth. The sides of the tray are finished in a rich navy, a perfect counterpart to the jet black. Uniquely cut handles add another layer of function and style.
